What versions of the Konis are available for the '88? Were yellows made, or are the Reds the only choice. This is for use on a track day only car, so yellows may be appropriate if they are/were every made as an option.

Reds were the only ones made for the 88 and the fronts are discontinued.

WCF has a lower a-arm conversion bracket that allows use of Yellow front shocks from another application.

The WCF application looks interesting. But I've already replaced the upper and lower control arms with fabricated arms. I do not find anything but the red rear struts, which will be converted to coilovers. Thanks for the tip.

I'm running the Red Koni's, converted to coilover by HT Motorsports (ArrautMS now). I have them set to position 12 (all the way hard) and I love the ride. Much better then the KYB's I was running.

I was told by a Koni distributor that the Red front shocks are not discontinued, but will produce if a wholesaler will order 30 units or more.

Only Koni "reds" were available for the Fiero. Koni yellows are the same internally as Koni reds except the valving.

If you are running anything but stock spring rates you'll want them revalved anyway. Just fine someone's used Konis which will invariably be leaking oil (they don't seem to last long...), get a good deal on them, then send them to Koni for a rebuild and at the same time have them revalved to match your target spring rates.
