Searched and searched again. Only found these two threads Real Glass GT Quarter Windows and GLASS GT quarter windows. From the talk in these two it sounds like there should be more but can't find it. Has then really been tried.? Did it fail? Can somebody help?

Not that I know of. I would first measur the OEM Quarter windows and then try the wrecking yard.

At one time Whodeanie's Customs was working on a chop top and he used Mustang GT windows. They were smaller than our OEM, but he also remade the sail panel to accommodate the smaller Mustang windows. The windows are fairly expensive, too.

So there is no other threads or info on this? Was it just talk and then never went anywhere?

They probably called up a glass mfg or two and were told it would take $10K in upfront costs to even start working on the project... that would have stopped any and all progress.

Why don't you just have them made from LEXAN.
It is lighter and much stronger than glass.

pokeyfiero had started the process to make exact reproductions of the original fastback quarter windows. He invested a considerable sum of money into digitizing the window's size and curvature and had molds produced. I don't remember all of what happened, but his health was a part of the reason he abandoned the project, well into it.
