You could probably expect a blown head gasket and the nightmares that will ensue. From all my research on the 4.9 here on Pennocks, the overwhelming info points to the 4.9 as an engine that is happiest in stock form and engineered to it's build limits. Some have been successful with adapting turbo's or blowers...time will tell. But the painfull stories I've read of failed mods to the 4.9 keep me from trying any. Ok, I'd consider the allante intake. Besides I'm happy with it the way it is! Don't let me stop you though, just use the search function.
You can pressurize the carb, if you also seal it & add a way to increase the fuel pressure to compensate for boost. Or you can do a pull-through setup (no intercooler!) either mounting the carb in front of the turbo or using a priority valve. You can probably find lots of these two setups with a good search. ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"
