I am using a cut down flywheel for my l67/F23 swap. I "think" its a '88 2.8 flywheel but I could be totally wrong. Apparently Dean used some hardware store grade8 bolts. I would like to use the correct fasteners for my application. Back in 2008 I used a spec 3800 clutch and aluminum flywheel. I went to the local GM dealer and picked up 8, f-body 3800 flywheel bolts. IIRC they ended up being 1/2 inch too short. I don't know if there is a difference in thickness between the aluminum SPEC flywheel and the OE one I have installed now.

If there is a GM flywheel bolt that works, I'd prefer to use it. However, if I can use the ARP 234-1001 SBC cam bolts, I'll go that route. Again, I'd really prefer to use a GM part(s) in this application.

Try looking up GM part number 24505092

I'm not sure that is right, but that's what a couple google searches led me to.

My first thought is that they gave you flexplate bolts and not flywheel bolts.
