Fiero Store has a new rear panel that can mount 6.5" speakers - ONLY 2" depth.

It looked pretty good on their test mule. I got to see it during the NEFA swap meet.

Nice for a couple of small subs? (small enclosure volume though), but the seat backs would absorb the mids and highs (edit to add) if using full range speakers.

Interesting, as most behind the seat subs go in the lower portion behind the rear. What exactly is behind the firewall further up where those speakers would mount.

These would be a good candidate :

but need a mounting depth of 4.25 inches.

Wait until you actually FEEL the product. Until then you can assume that is is some cheap plastic crap.

At least a company is trying to put out new items for a 30 year old car.... It would not be much for the lower notes, but good place for a set of 6.5" coaxials for the earlier models when the head rest speakers blow.. might even be a bit better than the screaming 4x6 in right ear...
I think they done a good job and hope they continue to build new items for the fiero many more years.

Agreed on both points. This is not intended for sub-woofers.

Has anyone tried the subs that mount to the seat?
It is supposed to increase the 'feel' of the bass.
