Should any vacuum be felt when placing your finger over the IAC inlet in the throttle body after the IAC has closed.

I used Ogre' s method checking throttle stop adjustment to put the IAC into the closed position.

I still seem to have a reasonable vacuum acting on finger despite believing the IAC is closed.

Thanks

I doubt that the IAC is designed to seat perfectly, in which case you might indeed feel substantial vacuum with the finger test. But with the IAC closed the air volume should be very small. The next test would be to note whether there is a significant difference in idle RPM with the IAC port open or covered.
