so here I was pulling into the driveway and all of a sudden the car dumps a gallon or so of coolant on the driveway.

I saw the coolant was coming from the front and the first thing I thought was " new hose".

But, to my surprise nothing looked wrong. I topped up the coolant system with water and nothing leaked. I warmed up the engine and nothing leaked.

It was the radiator cap. The cap was the origninal with the car and the spring finally went a little soft and let the coolant loose.

Good timing though. Imagine it happening on a cruise out in the boonies. Anyway $7 later all is well.

A word to the wise.

Personally, I bought a 3 core radiator with a new cap best thing I could have done for the car and cooling system.

My overflow tank was full and foaming for 900 miles. GA to n.j and a new cap fixed the problem. Dave in new jersey did some work on my car and told me my cap was bad. Problem fixed
