My engine bay is looking sorry so I figured I'd take some time to deal with it. basically just cleaning it but also putting some fresh paint on the filter box/snoot. The cover was easy enough and looked a lot better painted a matte black as opposed to the black/rust finish it had. But how far do I need to disassemble the rest of the filter box/snoot and how is it done? There's the small funny-looking thing sitting next to the filter with two vacuum lines, one going to the throttle body and the other going to the other lump which is connected to a spring-loaded lid near the end of the snoot, I think the end result would be much prettier if I didn't cover those in paint.
