I Lost the" list" someone had posted about a week ago, for "GM 3800sc Rod and Main BOLTS". I can't find the thread with search. If the person that listed it (or others) can re post the part numbers, I sure appreciate it. thanks

Purple...
I posted this info in a different thread awhile back when Lou originally asked about it. I collected this info for my swap:
Got some L67 engine bolt part #'s. The mains, cross bolts and rocker bolts are only available in bags of 5. So you need 2 bags of bolts for the mains & cross bolts and 3 bags for the rockers. The rod bolts are available in bags of 2, so you need 6.
Except for the Fel-Pro part, all others are GM part numbers available from a local GM dealer.

Main Bolts - 24503056
Main Cross Bolts - 24505576
Rod Bolts - 25531956
Rocker Arm Bolts - 24503515
Fel-Pro Head bolts - ES74033

That's a whole lot better. ya can get the Mains, rods, and head bolts for the price of just the rod bolts. and no machining. Thanks

I don't get it. Did I miss something in general physics class
Have gotten the Main bolts for less than $2.00
Connecting rod bolts, less than 20% the size and weight, same metal/I think. 4 times/or more the cost?

Oh that's right, I was sleeping during the economics supply and demand class.

GM main bolts $9 for 8. rod bolts $5 each= $60, Felpro head bolts $24 set, so $93 for ALL, Total. Arp rod bolts $90, Arp main studs $100, plus head bolts, plus machining cost. Over $415. Stock GM is my choice
