when installing 3800SC into an '85, will the stock AC lines "bolt up" to the '97 3800 Compressor ?

NO, unless you try to adapt the Fiero compressor. To use the more efficient 3800 compressor. You will need special connecting hoses with the GTP compressor end and the Fiero connector end that attaches at the firewall. IIRCF, one hose size will need to be adapted. The hoses are easy to make up IF you have an A/C hose crimper. You will also need to attach a nipple to the high side line where you can fit a refrigerant pressure sensor that routes to the PCM for A/C control. A while back we did a thread on hooking up the A/C system in a 3800 swap. See if you can find it. Loads of good info there.

Get the 3800 and Fiero lines and find a hydraulic or AC shop. They can chop out the hose and add new ones. Use a coat hanger and bend it to match the length you need from the compressor to the bulkhead. They can then cut out the hose and add new hoses with the 3800 compressor and Fiero bulkhead connectors. Don't have them crimped so they can be rotated.

Then install it in the car and once you have the rotations how you need them to clear stuff while bolted to the compressor and Fiero bulkhead, mark them with a felt marker and take them back to be crimped. Done.

You will never be able to guess the corrector connector angles so this makes them come out exactly right.

I'll grab about 3 foot of the compressor hose from a 3800 in the junkyard and go from there. Has anyone ever "Moved" the "Connection point" ( where the hose setup from the compressor actually bolts to the Body hoses) up to a More "user friendly" spot to connect it ? (like up top, or right behind the trunk by the vacuum can ?)

I Had a brand new 2.5 Compressor I got on ebay a year ago for $20. I changed the Pulley (Put on the pulley from the old 3800 Compressor), drilled the "threads" out of the 2.5 mounting" ears", and" bolted it right up" to the 3800SC. It Lines up perfect and the Fiero Hoses Bolt right up ! for $20, and 1/2 an Hour, I can't argue with it !
