I remember someone years ago putting a turbo 1.8 4 banger out of a Sunbird. I think I read that in Hot Rod Mag.

The Mitsubishi 4G63T (for turbo) has been put into a Fiero. There is a thread about the car here in the tech threads IIRC. It's a fastback GT. The 4G63T was also thrown into a few Murcielago replicas by a company in Florida for their demo cars.

There is also BWMGuru's VW VR6 (?) swap.

There are also some BMW and Jaguar V12 swaps that are running in "Fieros", but most of them are not documented here. They are in replicas on kit car forums, and there's a lot of frame modifications behind the tub done to them, meaning it may be difficult to still identify such cars as "Fieros."

Dont forget the diesel 4.3. Too bad that car is no longer with us and rebuilding the diesel 4.3 is close to impossible without custom making reman parts.

EDIT: Also, the EV ones. Those should count, right?

Bump.

It's been 2 years since an update. What needs to be added to the list?

This one for sure:

Seems like the OP isn't getting updated.

There are plenty missing from the list, and I think a couple on the list were not completed. I'd also suggest creating a bit more clarification on RPO code engine references, particularly with the V8s, as they've been re-used over the various generations of the Chevy V8. Some V6 RPOs have also been re-used for different engines over the years.

Did I just hear someone volunteer to update the list? Fantastic!

I have to think there is an LS6 in with the other LS's but don't actually know of one... anyone?
An Archie kit or homespun variety?
