You have a convicted felon in charge of the whole country, and yet you're concerned about the mayor of a pip-squeak town (one square mile in size) who's being "investigated" by the FBI? Okay.

You portend Trumps convictions will not be overturned.
I am more concerned that an elected official would ask gangs for help in achieving their objective to protect illegal aliens who are criminals, most of who have been convicted of felonies.

WORSE IS BEING A TRAITOR TO FREEDOM STILL NO TARIFF OR SANCTIONS ON PUTIN NO ARMS FOR THE U FROM THE RUMP

At this point, nobody cares, except for the TDS-affected. They were bullshit charges, brought into a liberal kangaroo court. The entire deck was stacked, from day one. On top of all that, the DA (who ran on the platform of "getting Trump") is very likely going to be charged with her own felonies. Payback is a b!tch, innit?

You mean like on January 6th?
I interpreted Cynthia Gonzalez's comments as her mocking these gang members, implying that they didn't have the balls to be protesting what's going on in their own community. Seems to me that suggesting gang members should be attacking ICE officials would be political suicide... but hey, other political figures appear to have gotten away with inciting insurrections.

LOL. Gang members protesting. Do you even know what a gang is? Extortion, drug dealing, arson, rape, murder are things that gangs do. Protesting?

Think outside the box. You don't believe it would be worthwhile for gang members to act like semi-regular folk for a few hours a day, at least short term, in order to try and save their gangs and their turf from being radically altered by ICE? Me thinks that young lady is laughing at you.

Bwahahahaha.
How about you find some gang members and run that by them. A white Canadian is going to tell LA cholos what is best for them. I would love to see video of how that goes down.

I'm a PFF member commenting on the possible intent of what was stated by the mayor of a small southern California town. You are welcome to disagree with what I suggested might've been her message. Try to do so without being a dick.

Fun fact: Texas has twice the homicide rate of California, and a considerably higher violent crime rate that California overall. Cudahy has an even lower crime rate than California as a whole, including considerably lower violent crime and homicide rates.
Also, you couldn't embed that video because it is a youtube short. Here is a similar video properly embedded:
As an aside...I think what she said is dangerous and foolish, and sentiments like that risk undermining the record even LA has of beating out Texas' (and other underdeveloped states') violent crime rates.

I haven't bothered to look up if this is fact or fiction, so I'll take your word for it. But I would almost bet that most of the crime comes from El Paso. It borders with Juarez, which has throughout it's history been both the drug and murder capitol of the world. Juarez and El Paso are basically the same city, separated by a border wall.
In all the years I lived in Texas, it was the ONLY city that I flat out refused to visit. I wouldn't even stop at a gas station during the route that passes through it on I-10.

I don't mind looking it up! From Wikipedia the top 10 cities in Texas for violent crime rates per-100,000 people are: 1. Houston - 1,095 2. Dallas - 774 3. San Antonio - 707 4. Corpus Christi - 702 5. Fort Worth - 560 6. Arlington - 516 7. Austin - 414 8. El Paso - 378 9. Laredo - 321 10. Allen - 316
So El paso has roughly 1/3 the violent crime rate of Houston, and less than half that of Dallas, San Antonio, or Corpus Christi. Let's check property crimes...maybe all those illegals are just eating all the pets and stealing stuff.
1. San Antonio - 4844 2. Houston - 4128 3. Corpus Christi - 3565 4. Fort Worth - 3215 5. Arlington - 3197 6. Austin - 3189 7. Dallas - 3185 8. Allen - 3032 9. Frisco - 2539 10, Laredo - 2483
Wait a second...it isn't on this list at all! To be fair, that's because it dropped to the 11th slot at 1818, not quite as big of a difference as violent crime, but still between 1/2 and 1/3 of San Antonio and Houston's rates.
...actually in everything I'm finding (including Texas' official report) El Paso is remarkable for how safe it is, both in terms of violent and property crime, compared to almost any large Texas metropolitan area (though having flown in there on my way to New Mexico I can absolutely attest to the city being a dump).
For another comparison, Los Angeles has a violent crime rate of 761/100,000 residents (~75% of Houston's), and a property crime rate of 2,535/100,000 residents (about half of both Houston and Dallas). Hell, it barely makes it into Texas' top 10!
You all be safe out there around San Antonio and Houston...sheesh....

I lived in San Antonio from 2017-2021 when I was at NSA Texas. I'm interested to know how the crime increased during that time. When I moved there, it really wasn't bad at all... but as time went on, crime began to increase. Especially from 2020-2021... I saw an enormous increase in crime. I lived in a rather very nice area called Encino Park... which was part of NEISD and is considered mostly fancy. We didn't really have any crime at all when I moved there... and we went from that to hearing gun shots at night a few times a week, with murders and car jackings.
Not really a crime per say, but trespassing... we had a ton of those cactuses lining the entrances to our neighborhood that have what's called "prickly pears." In the last year, I'd see a whole ton of Mexicans that brought grocery bags and they were picking the fruit off our trees without permission. I don't think anyone really cared because I know it falls to the ground and rots anyway... but yeah.
I noticed a huge change in the last year. I had to move anyway for work, but I was kind of glad to get out of there... even though I loved San Antonio.
