No, but the story sounds pretty awful.

Jonathan Joss and his husband were visiting their burned down home and the neighbor ended up shooting him.
The details vary WILDLY as to what transpired beforehand, depending on what site you go to.

I may be wrong, but it seems:

-The house burned down due to them using a BBQ to heat the house.(they had it in their livingroom)

-JJ + spouse had often been LOUD on their property.

-Folks had called them slurs on several occasions.

-There were previous situations/incidents, possibly including brandishing weapon(s).

-When they went to pick up the mail, there was a dog's skull on top or/near their mailbox, and it might have been their dog that died in the fire.

-Joss was marching back and forth outside their property when the neighbor arrived. Words were likely tossed about. Have NO idea if things started leaning towards the physical...

I think you had a 'crazy neighbor' situation once, right? stuck a blade in your porch or somethin'?

"Bad" neighbors are a tough thing to deal with. We had one once, and I know a few people who had TERRIBLE ones. Fences weren't enough. They literally had to move because things were escalating, and the authorities wouldn't/couldn't do much.

Crazy story alright. It happened is San Antonio where I currently reside. The San Antonio Police Chief initially said that there was no evidence of a hate crime, Joss being LBGTQ + and the accused killer not. He walked that back and apologized in person to the LBGTQ + community at a public meeting, explaining that the case was still in the investigative stage and that he had stated an unknown.

This incident has gotten a lot of TV news time as Joss was a voice actor on "King Of The Hill" An animated (cartoon) show on Fox TV. His "husband" was interviewed an seems about 20 years younger.

I must have a reading comprehension problem. I read this title as, "Did Dale gribble John Redcorn." And I thought to myself... what must it mean to be gribbled? Doesn't sound like something I'd want.

Todd, I read it as Dale Gribble, as a last name. I have never been wrong but am often mistaken, .
