What a poetic date.

I am not of the Catholic faith but do recognize their greatness in spreading the word of Christ.

I saw that this morning. I am sad, but not sad... because I know he's in a better place, and he served God well. I really liked Pope Francis. I didn't agree with him politically, but that's not important for the Catholic faith. It's an exciting time now, because now we'll have the conclave, which will bring about our next Pope. Pope Francis was the first Hispanic pope... coming from Argentina, which was sorely needed. I'm hoping the next Pope comes from either Asia or Africa.

I've lived thru a number of these sad events. I remember my parents being glued to the black and white tv watching for the 'white smoke' to indicate a new pope had been selected.

Times have changed,, I wonder if Vegas will start taking bets on who get elected.

Strange coincidence, Prince and Pope Francis died on the same day of the year.

We had a Pope from Poland and as you say Argentina. Will an American (USA) ever become a Pope ?

Parking in Manhattan,
the Pap's spot is stolen by Lucifer, ' Where do you think you are Pal ? '
An eternity circling the block, road rage, piety, moral dilemmas.
Penance.
