Iranian president's helicopter suffers 'hard landing,' search underway: Reports

I think we're all thinking the same thing... but just to add to it... who flies their all their top government leaders in a single helicopter... and fly solo? It's a known-standard that whenever a helicopter is flown for military purposes, there is always second. Even the President, when he flies with Marine 1, there's a second, identical helicopter that's flying with him. The media thinks this is intentionally a decoy (and don't understand the logistics). Sure, it can be used for that. But the reason they do this has much more to do with the fact that, if there's an emergency, the other helicopter can land at the crash site and pick up the occupants of the other helicopter. It also serves as insurance for being able to pinpoint where the other helicopter crashed (if so). They always do this. But apparently Iran, in all their intelligence, missed this.

Anyway, this guy barely won "election," and I'm just making assumptions here... but I'm sure there was some cheating involved so the Ayatollah would have someone more complicit. But it'll be interesting to see how they handle this. I know nothing (and care even less) about their structure of government. It'll be interesting to see if they elect someone else... or someone just gets appointed.

Either way, I think Ayatollah Cockamamie will be watching his back from now on, and possibly staying home.
