So 15 bucks an hour equivalent.

No shame, no harm. It’s just what it is and the US chugged right along.

$1.65/hr in 1971 (summer job working for Sunbeam Electric). That's in Canadian dollars, so good luck adjusting for inflation in today's US dollars.

None of these are touching the current minimum wage of 7.25 that would seemingly devistate the US economy if it went up the way some of yall are talking.

So 20 bucks in California? About par for the course.

Correct, I punched in either a different year or dollar amount on the calculator app.

Just curious how you're arriving at that figure... keeping in mind that the US/Cdn dollar exchange rate in 1971 would no doubt be quite different than it is today. For example, in 1974 the Canadian dollar was worth $1.04(US)... whereas currently, the Canuck Buck is worth $0.73(US). Makes buying anything from the States a little painful now!

The conversion rate was too complicated so I just ignored it. I have no idea how many minutes are in a metric hour. 10? 100?
