As years go, 2025 was one of the more uneventful ones for me in recent decades. No major drama, no broken relationships, no tragic losses, and no big life changes. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be: meh.

As for the forum, as always, there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that PFF is still here after 27 years - which is something I’m genuinely proud of. The bad news is that visitor numbers have declined quite a bit, largely due to platforms like Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, and others. That honestly makes me a bit sad. Not because I want PFF to be the biggest platform out there (it already is, in its own way), but because of what this fragmentation does to the community.

We’re no longer one big “Fiero family.” Like so many things these days, Fiero owners tend to stay within their own corner of the internet. You either love or hate Facebook. You either love or hate old-school forums. And as a result, the community is more divided than it used to be.

Even though I don’t post as much as I once did (and I was never a heavy poster to begin with), I still spend a significant amount of time keeping everything running smoothly. The server continues to receive upgrades - both hardware and software. New features are still added from time to time. And I still do my best to make sure everyone feels welcome here.

That said, I’ve been thinking more and more about a major overhaul of PFF - something that might bridge the gap between modern social platforms and traditional forums. The big question is whether it would be worth the effort. Are forums slowly becoming a thing of the past? Is it even possible to compete with social media?

I know the information collected here over the years is priceless. Unfortunately, it feels like many people today care less about proven, well-documented knowledge and more about whatever idea happens to be popular that day. Still, no matter what happens, as long as I’m able to, I’ll keep PFF up and running. I just don’t yet know what form that will ultimately take.

So here’s to another year. I wish you all the best for 2026. If there’s one thing I hope for, it’s that we move away from the division that seemed to define so much of 2025 - whether in the world at large or within our own community - and find our way back to being a little closer together again.

Cheers! 🥂

Happy new year Cliff.
I miss the old days when the forum was more like a chat room than a forum. You could post and have an answer almost immediately. We fought and cussed but we were all right there when someone needed a bumper or set of seat belts.
Much like the Forum the Fiero is getting harder and harder to find, out here on the west coast it's extremely difficult to find one that will pass inspection. I still look but past are the days of a $700 diamond in the ruff.
I haven't had a Fiero in 9 going on 10 years. But I still visit the Forum just not as much. Still cuss at each other but for the most part if someone was in need I would probably go without to help.

For the rest of you filthy animals Happy New year and **** you thats why, see you tomorrow.

Yes, it's sad as the world spins faster and faster each year and we can't look back, only going forward...

I joined PFF in 2020 to resurrect my Fiero from a long hibernation. In only five years, I can 'feel' a different forum.

On the bright side, 2026 will been a great year for me, as I'm hoping to get my GT back on the road after fifteen-years in the garage!

"Hold onto your butt" and I believe 2026 will be bumpy as the evolving social dynamics changes, but my outlook is cautiously optimistic!

HAPPY NEW YEARS to Cliff 'the man', all the PFF veterans to build this forum, and the 'greenhorns' who brought their first Fiero!

Happy New Year, Cliff!
I hope next year is a good one for you, and for everyone else.

I'm one of those people who like Farcebook and internet Forums. I'll mention that I belong to several other forums - a Ram truck forum, and at least two different Jeep Wrangler forums.
(I still have as many Fieros as I do Jeeps and Rams, combined. )
Those forums seem to be doing well, alongside the bazillion Farcebook groups for the same vehicles - especially the Wranglers.
I truly believe that the diminished following here, while not helped by the competition from social media, has more to do with demographics, and the rarity of the vehicle itself, than it does with the format. We old farts are aging out, and the younger people have much easier access to Japanese or European sedans. Fieros are more of a novelty now, similar to how Corvairs were, in the 70s and 80s.

As for this Forum? Change can be good, but please don't diminish what it is, now.
It's still quite frequently referenced in the various Fiero Farcebook groups, when someone is looking for a detailed answer to a difficult problem. There are lots of people who have "dual citizenship", as it were. Here and Farcebook. It is also frequently mentioned in the V6-60 Farcebook group.

I'll mention that it's a shame that all the images were lost when the server threw up on its shoes, for whatever reason. I still have most every image I've ever posted, but I was never that prolific, in that regard. So if any of mine were lost, it's not likely a big deal.
Other peoples' pics? Hmmm...

But please keep on keepin' on. This is still a valuable resource to the community.
And thanks!

Happy New Year to you all!

It's weird, because the first time I saw this forum was nearly 20 years ago, when I was dream putting together the perfect Fiero. The role this place played in my early 20s fantasizing about owning a project Fiero one day is huge, and the role it plays in my project now is even bigger. I've been coming back to this site and thinking about Fieros for nearly half my life, and now that I'm working on my car it feels very much like home.

I appreciate what you do Cliff, and it has to be weird to have surfed this wave for as long as you have. I appreciate this community, and am impressed by what it is and how resilient it has proven to be. Happy 2026, all

Thank you for all you do. Forums are still a thing in my eyes, because I feel like it is the true enthusiast way of talking and tinkering with cars especially ours. Facebook unfortunately has taken a toll on forums, but the information on here is priceless. I just modified the front end on my 88 and if I didn't have the forum, I may never have found info on what another member did. I hope you are always able to keep the forum alive.
