so i bought this back (old picture had to blur plates and havent had safe roads for a trailer to pick it up yet.)
i kinda want a factory gm paintjob style to cover this up or something a bit 80s, i already did the black accented spoiler and trim, the rear bumper has a accent around the plate and the lower valence because 80s style on the cheap and easy. (will upload picture later)

Hard to tell the condition of the paint. A good shop can blend other match it if the other paint is good.

The other option is air brush something on the hood.

It is a matter of what you can live with. I would just repaint it the right color and let it go but you are not paying for my expectations.

unfortunately the paint on it was in ok shape, few chips and scratches and some fading...turns out the faded parts were the right color..
i havent found a shop that can blend or match the paint since its a basecoat thing and the shade is noticeably off (they did a small repair in that photo and its awful. its already failing and is on the edge of the repaired primer area)
so what happened is i believe its a red car Originally and someone painted over the red directly with talbot yellow and for whatever reason it turned a rather nice color of orange and is almost impossible to match without doing exactly what they did but my paint shops are.....awful... and cant manage to get it to not orange peel so bad that it looks like they painted it on with a roller, theres a 88 gt they did and from 50 feet away it looks like the surface of mars its so bad
