To whoever sent their 3800 swap to the Louisville Ky Pull a Part… Thank you! You have saved me a bunch of time and money on a wiring harness and mounts. I forgot to take photos while I was there but it appears that it was a turbo setup. (L67 heads and block with a N/A intake and oil lines) Truly no idea why it was junked though. The car was in fairly good shape besides some repairable rust. subframe and all that was fine. Sad to see another one junked, Ill grab all I can.
Does anyone need an 87 gas tank? It’s in fairly good shape other than the puncture that the yard did to drain it. (Jb weld? Hole is about the size of a nickel if that can be repaired) Its passenger seat is in good shape. If anyone needs anything from it lmk. Most interior trim is gone (as junkyards go)
That is a really sad sight. I'll bet the owner passed and the family just decided to sent it to the junk yard because they had no idea what it was. They could have easily gotten a lot more than whatever the junk yard paid them for it from a Fiero owner that wanted it.

The local U-Pull-It in Fort Lauderdale that I used to go to all the time... I'd see that constantly.
One of the more obvious examples was a near-completely restored convertible Chevrolet Corvair. It had a perfect, brand-new two-tone paint job, the engine was immaculate, looked like it had just been rebuilt and it even had an AC compressor on it. It was missing some things that it seemed the owner just hadn't gotten to yet, but much of the car was all brand new aftermarket or restoration parts. CRUSHED...
The cost of restoration anymore is so high many run out of money or give up.
A good paint job is more than some Fiero are worth.
Even guys doing old GTO’s can easily get upside down.
Even finding a body shop to paint an old car is tough with so many chain shops just wanting to do new car and collision.
I was lucky to find a good shop for my 911 to replace a fender. It is a rust free California car had a dinged fender and we are trying to save as much original paint as we can. It is a clean 1986.

That is truly tragic. All the time spent restoring the thing for it to end up crushed is just sad.
OMG! That car has been calling me every since I got the email from Pull-a-part. It's been too sloppy and cold for me to feel up to going though. I'm working on a 3800 swap myself but haven't touched it in a year. I may have to get the tank and straps if still there.

The straps have been cut, tank and fuel pump were still there as of yesterday. Seats n carpet r still there. Doors and most of the body. 4t65e mounts, shift cables, and adapters are there as of yesterday as well. Moonroof glass is there. Coolant tubes (in good shape), radiator, 87 subframe is mostly rust free from what I remember

Thanks for the heads up bruh. Hopefully what I need will still be there tomorrow. Sucks that they cut the straps though, I'll just have to lengthen my 85 straps.
