Just wanted to show off my 85 GT’s new colors. I’ve been wanting to paint this car for years. I was getting sick of the mismatched body panels it’s been sporting. Anyways, I’m also attaching a pic of the car that inspired my getting this particular color. Kit

And just for fun, here is a pic of a car show I attended yesterday in the town of Alviso. My buddy showed up in his 90 Reatta convertible. This Reatta only has 17K original miles!

I like it!

One question though... what's going on in the area of the front turn signal lights? I can barely see the amber light covers, but I do see yellow where I don't believe the factory painted the body color.

Yes, I know the front turn signal flat metal brackets are black but the painter chose to simply mask off the lenses and just painted everything yellow. Also, and as you know I changed front fascia’s to a coupe and somehow when I put it all back together the lens area (especially on the drivers side) didn’t line up inside the rectangular cavity. Technically, the light on that side ended up slightly higher inside the hole than it should be.
I can make a way to reposition it. Just haven’t got to it yet.

Should you choose to do so, that would be easy enough to rectify.

It was a little difficult to tell from the photo (due to the angle), but yeah, I thought they were a little high. Nothing that can't be resolved though.

It's been awhile since I've messed about with those lights on my Fiero(s). Since they are different from each other, is there any chance that they've been accidently swapped over to the wrong side?

That’s a possibility. I think they’re stamped L and R but I have to check on that. On a different note, I’m glad you brought up that “defect” as now it’ll be on my mind until I fix it. 😀 I’ll report back in a few days and update you on the fix / remedy.

Great. Because the car looks so good with the new paint job, I was hoping you wouldn't mind if a small detail was mentioned that if addressed, could easily make that one area of the car look a lot better.

I am going to buy another Fiero. I have an 88GT T Top which I mentioned in a thread here as being the 'holy grail'. One member said the MERA was the 'holy grail'.

Having never seen one I looked them up. I found this image ...
