Why I will never buy a Pontiac Fiero ever again

First let me state, I loved my Fieros, all were 88s and all were notchbacks. A total of 22 came through my ownership. Some got engine conversions. My favorites were the 3.4 DOHC, the 3800 Supercharged and the 4.9. Everyone ended up with five speed manuals, hated getting one with an automatic. This is not my video, just posting it for others. He does have some valid points but, he's not a Fiero enthusiast.

No, I no longer have, own or drive a Fiero. I wanted a convertible and couldn't find one I could afford so, now I'm driving and enjoying a Pontiac Solstice.

That’s an old video. Fiero’s have certainly gone up in price since then.
On a different note, two things are clear in this video. His intro is misleading. I thought he was going to slam the car for reliability issues it had but 99.9% of his rant was about “tire kickers” wasting his time and that he couldn’t turn it for a quick and fat profit. He sells used cars for a living. He of all people should have understood the market for a car like this. Also, what is clear here is that he doesn’t care a rats ass about Fiero’s. If I were selling that Fiero and he came to my house, I’d tell him to go away. Call me sentimental but I would want my Fiero to go to a good home and be loved and cared for and his home ain’t no such place. You may call him a “used car dealer” but to me he’s just another Fiero “hater” and I’ve run across many of them.

P.S. Forgot to mention that it was wrong of him to compare the sellability of a lone Fiero (that is a two seater 40 year old car) with modern SUV’s that he says are popular and that he turns them quickly for a profit. This is a glaring example of comparing “apples with oranges”.

You just have to ignore folks like this. Even Solstice and Sky’s have their haters too.

Owning a car like the Fiero takes thick skin. You think it is tough now back in the early 90’s most of us were treated as the village idiots. Corvair guys can relate and today things are much better today.

When I bought mine new I was a celebrity in 1985. In 1992 the village idiot. Over time now it is I always wanted one, I had one, my mom had one. The kids today that is cool

Take the positive toss the rude.

I agree, once the fun factor was over, he became another car salesman. The Fiero is a niche car, not everyone is going to love them. Had I been able to afford a convertible Fiero back then, it would still be with me.
