Before anyone asks...
Broken rear sway bar end link and I believe a bad front wheel bearing judging from the left/right knocking feeling in my steering wheel. Pic in my construction zone thread.

Lou, you were doing great until the spin-outs!

Did the rear sway-bar end-link break during that first spin-out run?

Thanks. Hard to say. I had to go WOT a hair sooner against those 2 competitors so...
Some of it may be I need to upgrade the differential as well. My 4.9 car could do the same thing when I'd hammer it too soon in turn 2.
Other competitors suggested my tires got too hot. The Toyo's have a reputation for that.

Also, since I hit >7200 rpm it over pressurizes my stock coolant tubes and cap so I leak coolant at the filler neck when this happens. So my tire could have just been wet. That's why I'm looking to switch to an electric water pump.

Any chance that "simply" (relatively speaking) changing the crankshaft/water pump pulley ratios could accomplish the same thing... similar to what a power pulley does... but taken to another step?

Or would doing that cause not enough coolant circulation at lower revs?

Well...

I've already got a 1/2 cement fill on the block to keep the bottom end secure and that robs cooling volume from the block.
Also I'm already using an under-drive pulley from Rodney.

When the fan comes on, it had no problem keeping the temps under control. I 'tune' it to come on at 180 and off at 160. That doesn't solve the pressure produced by the high flow.
I think some would say when it's flowing too fast that not enough thermal transfer happens.

An electric conversion seems like the best path foward for what I am using the car for.

Kinda looks like my driver's front wheel caught some air in turn 2 in the semi-finals... :/
