Recently I watched a Cleetus McFarland Video on the 2.4 Hours of LeMullets they had at the Freedom Factory on 11/20/21. The prelude video showed two beautiful Fieros that he suggested would be given to the winner. I have not seen all of the videos on this particular race. They are so nice that I assume we know the previous owners. I feel a bit stupid as I really think I know the blue car from the Michigan club (Bob?).

Any one have additional information? It is nice to see they are appreciated.

I truly hope this is not a gag giveaway. Cleetus is pretty destructive on his channel and I'd hate to see 2 people win the cars and then he screams "LET'S DO IT" as they turn it into a demolition derby.

RR, that is (was) Bob's car.
I put a new distributor in it last fall.

Kurt Busch and Vaughn Gittin Jr. won the race. I think they were given the 2 Fieros.

Gittin jr might want to make it a formula race car. like a hoonigan for fun...

Hopefully the blue SE ends up in a private collection, it's too nice to be beat up on the street or be hacked up for a toy.

BTW, the blue paint is original.

Bob..... Bob Steiger?

I noticed it appears in the 2003 Auburn video Darth posted but I wasn't able to connect who owns it with the car.

Not Bob Steiger....

The 'Bob' in question was a member of Michigan Fiero Club for many years, was a founding member of Capitol City Fieros and was involved with the Midwest Fiero group.

The car has been to dozens of shows all over the Great Lakes region and Midwest.

I will not post his last name for privacy reasons.

I contacted Cleetus with info about the car, he replied that he would pass on the info to the new owner, Kurt Busch.

It sounds like the car ended up in a good place.

Sounds good. Glad it is going to a good home.

I'm sure I've seen it even more times in the past than I realize! It definitely looked familiar.
