Yesterday morning my 86 GT had a rod bearing go out. I have put so much time and money into the car, and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I was wondering what everyone on here would consider a fair price for it, with the bad motor.

It's got about 150k miles on it, most of which are highway miles, and has the 4 speed. It has power mirror and window. It has new rear calipers, all new rotors and pads with less than 200 miles on them. A brand new passenger door and mirror. A new alternator, new thermostat, rebuilt headlight motors, aftermarket speakers, all new tie rods, and very new tires. It has a new power mirror switch as well. I installed Rodney Dickman's short throw shifter on it as well. There's some other new parts on the car but I can't think of them off the top of my head. The interior is in pretty good condition as well.

Any help on a fair price for it would be wonderful. I hate to sell it, as it was my first car, and I love the community, but I can't justify any more money spent into it.

I'll include pictures tomorrow, but it's too dark to take good ones right now

Thank you guys so much!

Really hard to say. Higher milage and needs an engine. Not going to get much for it. Your best off selling to an enthusiast that knows what it is and is willing to put a 2.8 or 3.4 in it. The reman 3.4L is still available. Maybe $1000? You might be able to get more by parting it out but that is a lot of work and is sad to see.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe park it for a year in storage and forget about it, and maybe in future you might find the motivation to do an engine repair/swap. If you don't have the means to store it or to fix engine, maybe its best to cut losses and move on. Then maybe someday when you get the Fiero Bug again and buy another one.

Left side tail light glass has one bad clip, but no cracks. There's a bit of rust, as I'm from Nebraska and we salt our roads, and the seats are actually in pretty damn good condition

I'm leaning towards parking it. I just don't have the money for an engine swap, motivation is there 100%
