Hey guys and gals. What size and brand tires are you running on your 88 ? Those of you with your origional factory stock rims. Correct me if Im wrong. The front tires on the 88 were slightly smaller than the rear. 205 / 60 / 15 vs. 215 /60 / 15. i need new fronts, and Im having a problem finding that paticular size. Goodrich got TA's in that size, but their $165 a piece. I was hoping for a tire in the $120 range. So keep me rolling and tell me what keeps you rolling.... thanks.

You can get the General AltiMax RT43 in that size (205/60-15) for $103 from Tirerack.....This is a good quality passenger car tire- it will easily out-handle the Goodyear's that our cars came with originally. I have been running Generals for most of my driving history (1977-)

That tire does not come in the 215/60-15 size for the rear but does come in the next size up (225/60-15).

I am running General G-Max AS-05 all season HP tires- they rate very highly and perform well but don't come in your sizes; I am running 16 x 7 wheels with 205/55 and 225/55 size tires.....

If you purchase from Tirerack, you can have the tires shipped to a shop locally which is affiliated with Tirerack and they will install them. My local tire shop (Big-O) has recently become competitive with Tirerack for pricing so I just bought my last set of tires from them directly.

Laurenn G FIT AS, 205/60R15 Front, 215/60R15 Rear.

I just had them installed. They're not expensive. You can see what I (and others) have said about them in this still recent thread:
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/099929.html

I've not ever been displeased with any of the tires that I've purchased (ever), but I've not ever been a "serious" driver in terms of pushing the performance envelope.

I've run 215-60-15 front and 225-60-15 on my Formula for years.

Falkan and Utmho tires are good.
