Yes.
It's time.
Time for me to get a move on this historic car.
Time to make it what I feel Hulki wanted it to be and would be proud of.
Time to get this beautiful car where it should be for all of us to see, touch, and enjoy: The Pontiac Museum
I'll be inserting pics at a later time so please forgive the placeholder words. Have to get on a PC instead of my MAC.
A little backstory.
On July 2nd of 2011 I acquired this car from a gentleman when I saw it on eBay. $14,600 was its final price. The individual, who shall remain nameless, was looking to do more of a modified Fiero and thought twice about doing it to this one. I'm glad he did. He does do an amazing job. Top workmanship. Just not to this one. He bought my yellow 88GT T-Top with the 4.9L swap. I bought the white one...then parked it due to the demands of my country and my calling. Thise demands have been fullfilled and I am back in the home where she is.
Up front I want to thank Rob and Steve up in Wisconson for their mentorship any time I have needed it. You guys are true friends!!!
So Its Time.

First thing to do was uncover her and see where we are at. Time is not kind to these cars we love. I knew I would have to do tires. I searched high and low for new Eagle GTs. No dice. I ended up settling on four new Uniroyal Tigerpaws in the correct staggered sizes. The young man at PepBoys in Gulf Breeze, FL was excited about the project and ordered them without me paying. Said he'd catch me at installation since I was out of town. He built a permeant client that day.
In the time we had to wait for tires I ordered a litany of new AC Delco parts. These tings are getting a bit difficult to get!
Fuel Pump
Pump Screen
Fuel Filter
Oil Filter
5 Qts of Oil (Not AC Delco)
PCV Valve
Air Filter
Ignition Coil
Cap
Rotor
Spark Plugs
Distributor
Battery (Not AC Delco)
Tires got in first. I had to lift her up and put her on jack stands, remove the bad rims and tires, then take them to the shop.

Tires went on quickly. Back under the girl and get that sorted out.

Then the fun began. Replacing the fuel pump in these cars seems a job for those with hands the size of a 2ft tall person. Got that all sorted then all the other little bits. Tried to start it to no avail. Had to do a full distributor replacement so new Ignition Control Module as well.

She fired instantly. Some adjustment to do and need to test each cylinder just to make sure but...
It's Alive Pic!
Running Driving 88GT Again! Now for the next large step: Detailing...but not just your average wash and wax. She has to be up to the museum for the Sept 20th show!
