Anyone here ever deal with Showcars Body Parts? Their catalog seems to be taken from the old IRM company. They may have picked up the old fiberglass tooling from IRM. If they are legit, they would be one of the last remaining custom parts sources for the the Fiero.
I always thought that place was a scam just by the horrible design of their website. Read this and also scroll down to the bottom for more ripped off customers. https://www.complaintsboard...ly-ripped-off-c10197
IRM's molds were purchased by Doug Kinney / Fiero Warehouse. Sage did all the production. Sage still has the molds and still makes those pieces.
I saw the whaletail that Showcars is selling, on eBay. There are no provisions for mounting. It's just a shell. Sage's pieces have pads with studs molded in.
It looks like the reviews on Showcars says it all. Their amateur looking website does make it seem like they're a half ass outfit. Kind of like that V-Fiber Duraflex outfit . They ship but their parts don't fit. As for Sage, his stuff always looked quality but AFAIK, he's stepped back from the business and is only doing very occasional work. It looks like we lost most of the Fiero fiberglass custom parts manufacturers. The only ones that I know of that remain in business seem to be Jim Cleary/FieroMotive (FL) and Pisa Corp, (AZ) Marty Jakolat.

I’m working to change that. I’m working on glassing up some display pieces. Making sure everything is up to my quality before I put them on the market. I am working on the knock off sd4 body now. I have a lip spoiler for the notchback almost ready to go. I do have plans to make molds of both my wide front fenders and 3 piece gt lip spoiler. It still may be a few years before I’m completely ready as creating molds are big investments for quality pieces that will last. I originally didn’t want to step on Doug or Tedds toes and take any business away as they have my respect but Tedd recently told me he doesn’t mind me producing anything I have. So not all will he lost the next generation is still active.

Ive been in this hobby a long time and I still see a market for custom Fiero body parts noses, facias, scoops and such but don't see that todays hobbyists are buying complete body kits. As long as the parts fit reasonably well I beieve that they will sell. This is a nose that was once made by a "fly by night" manufacturer. Its looks really great to me and I wish that I could buy one but its just one of many parts that just went by the wayside.

Agreed. Yeah, I saw that nose offered last year sometime, and thought the same thing...good looking nose, but it's extinct now as far as I can tell.

Here was my custom creation last year. I didn’t take any molds of it and I doubt I ever will due to the complexity of the grille area.

And this nose, too, looks GREAT. In fact, I think it's my favorite. It was offered last year by the same company that offered that red nose above.

That was the Lotus Esprit style Fiero nose also made by Duraflex/V-Fiber. I also like it but those guys made parts that don't fit right. Look on You Tube. Some of their parts were WAY OFF dimensionally with even bulges in them. I saw one on a Fiero at Carlisle about 8 years back and even with the body work that the owner put into it, it was still a terrible fit at the side ends. The one on Awalkers car looks super but that is a one off creation.
