How is the front FIERO emblem held on the nose panel ? On the 87 I bought the previous owner put on some kinds of silly "zombie squad " emblem that looks completely ridiculous. I need to remove that an return it to the original FIERO shield emblem. I hope he didn't drill holes and bolt it down.

O.E badge has a post on the emblem that runs through top of bumper, attached via a push nut of sorts.

If you just need a new emblem, I make an after market "custom' emblem with an adhesive back that can be applied over, or in place of,the existing one (assuming it's the same dimensions as stock)

Just a thought if you want something a little different

Just to add what's been stated... there are two posts on the factory emblem. One post helps to orient the emblem and keep it from spinning when a speed nut is applied to the second post.

Thanks you guys. Once I unscrew the weird emblem, I'll decide what to do.

If you get a replacement from TFS, be aware (least from my experiences with the silver emblem) there's an extra peg with the two OE ones. I always lop that off and attach with double-sided tape. They don't age well and start to haze over within a few years... tape vs. the speed nut makes replacing it again easier.
