I see FIEROGURU is offering Rear Coil overs.struts. What are they and what is the advantage of them over the stock rear set up ???

The nicest thing about coilovers is choice of spring rates and adjustability to raise/lower the rear of the car.

Exactly.
To answer your question about the advantage:
1- Adjustable ride height
2- Wider wheels
3- The ability to order any spring rate that you want for a stiffer or softer ride

If you are in need of new shocks anyways you might as well go this route while you have it all apart. You can either support Fieroguru (he did all the work for you) or do them yourself How To Guide. Either way you will be happy.
