I want to start stocking up on hard to find stuff for future needs on my 88.

What parts are unique to the 88 that won't fit the earlier models? Brakes, suspension, etc.

I know the cradle but am unsure about the brakes and suspension parts.

Thanks

Chuck

There are major differences and there are small differences. Even the engines are different, so your best bet would be to look for a parts car just like yours.

I believe the wheel bearings are also 88 specific? and perhaps the coolant crossover line?

Only the front hubs, and they are 'attached to the front cradle'....

The crossover pipes only differ manual trans vs. auto trans

If it is a GT or Formula.... Front wheels (1 year only)

I made sure I saved a couple of them.

Fuel injector harness

Some V6 88s have a different (square) connector on the FI harness. Some have the flat connector that the earlier V6 cars had. All of the flat connector harnesses are interchangeable.

some more:
88 had a unique ground wire attached to the rear deck lid b/c the panel is inside the lid vs. bolted to it.
Different off-set for the front rims. (unique color)
Seat material/pattern is unique to 88.
