I have a Grant flat bottom wheel in my 85. I like it but will someday get the original wheel recovered.
ron is there a specific adapter used for your Grant wheel. I have a Grant GT wheel in my 85 and I have a slight wiggle problem that I am pretty sure is isolated to the adapter I am using vs. anything to do with the actual column.
I have a Lecarra Mark 8 "thick grip" wheel that I might be talked out of. It has the Fiero logo in the horn button and was purchased specifically for my Fiero but never installed even though I did use it in a Chevy Blazer for awhile. If you wish to see what it looks like look up Lecarra on the net and scroll down to the Mark 8 thick grip wheel. It does take a bit of getting used to but once you become comfortable with it it is hard to go back to a regular steering wheel. I did not install it as it is black and my interior is tan and I did not think it looked right. They are a bit pricey when bought new.
If you can find a vintage 14 inch 3 spoke nardi wood steering wheel they work great. The fiero steering wheel bracket will mount to the back of the wheel with a little modification and then you can us epoxy and mount the top portion of the fiero gt wheel housing to the wheel so so can reuse the original horn. That what I did and it gives you a great

Van, I had to re-drill my adapter kit (it was also a Grant kit) to get it to fit . It still did not line up 100% correctly. I had to line it up with a 4 wheel alinement . I used lots of lock tight and torqued the screws to get it to stop the wiggle.
Didn’t have to do that with my nardi wheel. Just had to bend the forks on the mount ever so slightly inward to get the screw holes to line up. Perfect!!

Ron,
I am gonna give that a shot! Thank you for the advice.
