I have seen the seats as chairs, but that is about it. I think part of the issue might be the back of a Fiero is pretty much enclosed, with the lights across the back, and the trunk lid only goes down a few inches.
Now If you did some sectioning and fiberglass work, you could build the seat right above the tail lights and bring the cabin loop section forward and fill the center of it as the back of the seat. It wouldn't be very high unless you tilted the seating position back some. Building the seat w/o the tail lights would lowering it some more, but then you will need to either have small sections for the remaining openings on the side or glass them in.
