First time poster. I have a white 1987 GT I am considering selling. It has 31,800 miles, excellent condition. The only known flaw I know of, is a heater leak. Not sure if it's the heater core or a heater hose. Just hardly ever drive it anymore (getting too old) and think it might be the time to pass it on. I'm wondering the best way to sell it and suggestions as to what a fair price would be to ask for it. Thank you.

Nice looking ride, low miles also.

If it's leaking on the inside, most likely it's the heater core. You can find replacements for around $30 bucks, it takes about 45 minutes to replace.

Here's the instructions

Thanks CoolBlue for the info. It is dripping on the inside so I'm sure you are right, that it is the heater core.

For comparison, paid 9500 for an 87GT last Nov. Sat on a dealer lot for a few years at various higher prices before I came along.

Thank you " wgpierce". This is the type of post I was hoping for. I just wanted to get some ideas of what I should ask for mine.

What else is modified besides the wheels and side scoops, and I believe the lower effects could not be white in 87? May matter on value.

I would say Craigslist, Ebay, Autotrader sort of places. Are good ways to sell.

2.5. The lower panels were indeed painted to match. Leather seat covers have been added along with simulated wood trim dash, door trim and wood trim glovebox added. New headliner was installed a few years back. Two black stripes added to the hood. I still have the original side scoops and wheels for it. Everything except the painted lower effects, could be taken back to stock if desired.

Forgot to mention it had 7500 miles on it, all original down to the oil filter
