I usually like David's videos but it was clear he doesn't have much of an understanding of what this car is. It's unfortunate because younger people looking at getting into Fieros will see his video and be misinformed about a lot of things...
He's right about pretty much everything though. Most Fieros DO look like crap, they DO have a bad reputation (deserved or not), the ARE under powered, they DO handle like crap, they ARE poorly balanced....
You should downvote the video and leave a comment to get this guy's attention. Really just because he did no research and spewed a bunch of nonsense, laziest car review ever. He did have fair criticism of an old car with a suspension in unknown condition.
pretty lame review. You may want to compare this to Motorweeks match up of a Fiero along side the Toyota MR2. When all the smoke cleared, they chose the Fiero as the superior automobile. ( You can view this on You Tube ). This fellow did say that he enjoyed the car though, and he did state some fact. All in all, his ignorance showed through.

Sure, there's always the "glass half empty" viewpoint. Aren't most of us here trying to overcome those issues?
Saw this the day it came out, couldn't watch the whole thing. I didn't want to feel biased but some of the cars he reviewed were sh*t boxes and got much better feedback. I feel either he had high expectations or this car wasn't in good shape at all. Though I argue with anyone who says the insides of these cars don't have room. You can talk to my girlfriend that slept on the floor of passenger side after a concert. I want to be fair to old car styling blah blah, but have you seen other cars from the 80s its a standard. Also last under powered sure by todays standards but still plenty of fun and the 2.8 has some get up and go, chasing corvettes and hellcats no but your mom's civic and subaru quite possibly.
As someone else stated, he commented this failed in comparison to the way better Mr2. Yet motor trend rated the faro better.

Well....Car & Drivel voted the 1984 Fiero as "One of the Ten Best cars for a changing world"...Then dumped on the car each year after that until they were successful in killing the car; The last review was a comparison of the Formula against the MR2 and the CRX- The CRX came out on top because it had a body "Like Daryl Hannah".....?! (The Fiero was in 3rd place because the steering was still "A Bit heavy" and the Instruments were "Pointed at your navel"- The only two complaints they listed! The Fiero beat the other two in every performance category except braking- and was 2-3 seconds faster around the track they were using)....
A British reviewer (Either Australia or Britain) said the rub strip was "cheap looking" and became "cracked and scratched after a day of use" He then went on to say that he would choose to "do without" the parking brake because, when applied, it "created a barrier to entrance and exit of the vehicle"! (Mine- when new!- would just drop after applying- but after 10 years I would have to push it down a bit....)
When someone asks you "Didn't they all catch fire?" always tell them that it was only the green Fieros that caught fire!
