I'm assuming that is some kind of alarm mounted in the engine bay...

but what is that extra cable running to the right hand strut tower?

I would guess some sort of lock for the decklid?

With that Chapman alarm system and the deck lid lock the guy must of been carrying gold bars around in the trunk. Or very paranoid that he might find a chopped up dead body in there.
