Wow. That header looks huge. Much bigger than my Hooker Tri-Y.

Always something. Got one pull and the cam thrust plate broke. Personally I think it's the angle cut crank/cam gears adding to the load and breaking things. First pull made 245 hp at 6k, timing 28 . Computer was set for 32 lb injectors but it has 92 lb injectors. Hp was still climbing at 6k. Need to find some straight cut timing gears. I have some somewhere, haven't found them yet. Anybody have some to sell ?

A few questions. Where is the roller thrust bearing located ? And does it have a dedicated oil supply ? Think that was the problem .

Didn't get the dyno sheet yet . It got 260 hp @ 6500 with 9-1 cr. Had to put bigger valve spring in. Floated the others at 7k. Builder said I can double the hp with a turbo, plus raise the rpm ,which is the future plan.

You are certainly getting tremendous horsepower from that SD4. That is real progress but keeping the rev limit below 7000 RPM may be a good idea. Is this build for street/strip or track only?

Lilchief's image posted on 5/5 showed as broken for me as seen below. However, I was able to download and convert the image and will upload it here as a jpeg file. Perhaps HEIC files aren't yet supported in this forum, or maybe there was some other glitch:

Thanks dizzie for posting my picture. Don't know what i did wrong
Oh well . As you can see I'm making progress, thanks to my mechanic . Used a 1 inch dodge mount on the front trans mounting and I made a 1/4" flat steel plate to shift the rear mount over, drilled 6 holes, 3 for trans and 3 for the mount. That way I didn't have to cut on the cradle. Oh and we did have to grind the corner of the block to fit with the 4t60. Hope to post more later

Dennis, just going to be a strip/Street car. Valve springs will ware out in 30-50k miles. .650 lift is not friendly on springs and it's a solid roller. Next step is a turbo .

New problem. Engine leaves too far towards the front. Used stock front engine mount. Stock rear trans mount and front trans mount uses a dodge 1" mo
tor mount .

So are there 2 different front motor mounts ? And the rear trans mount seems to be too tall. Open for suggestions.

Your picture doesn't show up.
I'm guessing you have a problem like this when my Indy arrived.

I drilled a new hole lower in the torque rod connector and ground off the end with an angle grinder.

More brain picking. Thoughs that have done a 4t60 swap, was the trans pan even with the bottom of the cradle or below it. Right now mine is leaning towards the front. The pan is even at the rear and lower towards the front.

I had similar problems when I installed a 4T60. (but opposite of your problem).
The distance between transmission brackets on the 4T60 auto transmission is different than original TH125 automatic??
(maybe there are different 4T60 brackets and why some people have no problems while others do??)

In my case using stock Fiero transmission cradle mounts "leaned" the engine toward the trunk.
Others have also outlined what they've done to "square" the engine/trans on the cradle.
(later I swapped in a Getrag 5-speed and went back to factory transmission mounts)
