We made these sail panels from tinted plexy. total cost about $50 !





This one was plexy prototype; was too dark. That's my friend Steve, he's been a big help with the car.

Thing is robert1234, I am quite busy trying to learn how to build a .com with WordPress for my new company. Whereas I am very close to receiving my Patent Pending status for a much needed tool. After which I'll post a good how-to DIY and maybe offer them for sale if there's enough interest.

Can you tell us more about the rear diffuser?

Very nice. Is the plexie curved at the leading edge, or cut off flat with the remainder of the panel?

I'm interested in how you formed this, I don't know how UV resistant it would be but I'd like to make a set in pet or petg.

PETG is nice, in that it might conform more-easily, but the stuff scratches *so* easily.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I forgot to set the post to notify me of activity.
As for UV and scratch resistance, I intend to put clear vinyl automotive UV protection on top.
The leading edges do curve in and were done with a heat gun & torch on a sheet metal break. But they can also be curved on a simple DIY jig, just take your time!

As for the diffuser, it's just sheet metal. The fins can removed if they to be repaired or replaced.
