We have one here in the shop and find it useful. I don't know of any other way to pull the engine rearward to open up space to more easily access the front plugs. Would not an extra inch of work space be helpful? You could always pull the deck lid but that is more work than using the tilter and you stand a chance of scratching the car when you do that.
