Those old Camaros are smoking those new Vettes'...
I ended up in 4th place in points overall. The black Camaro, silver Camaro and WRX finished 1,2 and 3 respectively overall. We raced around 15 times in total starting back in May.

That black Camaro looks like it's dialed-in really well... good driver also. Unless my eyes deceive me, it looks like he weight-jacked the suspension for left turns. It doesn't look like any of the other cars have that.

Yeah he's totally set up. He's not technically the fastest car there but he's pretty consistent. I almost beat him in May until I lost camber and toe on my back left wheel and did a 180 infront of the start/finish line. He ended up being the overall points leader.

Did it surprise you that the old pickup truck gave you such a good run for your money in the 1st round?

What is used as a cue to start each race? Some of the guys are either asleep at the switch... or the other guy has jumped the gun!

And finally... how is it decided who lines up where on the track? I've never raced on a banked oval, but I suspect I'd want to start on the inside lane.

At least on my 85 with 88 rear, I end up all the way in at the top on both sides for camber....I am planning on installing small steel "eyebrows" to fill the adjustment gap to keep it from moving, trapping them under the washers....Just an idea.....The other possibility would be custom washers that set the adjustment, permanently....

About the truck. No. He's a regular and we all know what we are running. All the hoods are up for inspection prior to the race. He's got a built big block. Traction at the launch is his weakness. His suspension is custom. The bed is missing and you can see all his custom work. Very talented guy. He recently added some weight directly over the rear axle to help with the launch. The officials asked the rest of us if we had issues with it and we all said no problem.

A coin toss in the infield determines who lines up inside or out.

There's a red and green light infront of the start/finish line. When it turns green you go.

So cars are slow off the line because they are "stock"-ish. You're allow 100 treadwear rated tires. Pretty easy to figure out who has them and who doesn't.

Hopefully I am good from now on.
I just need to make my back right strut softer. Had wheel-hop there in my final race against the WRX. Slid right to the outside...
