Hello. I've read in several posts that there is a specific area on the cradle that needs to be welded for re-enforcement, but, in all the threads I've read through, I haven't seen it pointed out in a pic or text. I have mine out for cleaning, and figure the time is now if I'm gonna take care of that. So, any help would be appreciated.

On the 88 Fiero cradles, the rear transmission mount shelf tends to break the factory weld. So I normally add a weld on the inside:

The 88's also tend to crack between the mount holes for the front transmission mount:
