Sail panels & tail lights for GTs are going to be expensive no matter where you get them. If there is a secret source, no one has filled me in.

Years ago I bought three sets of NOS sail panels and two sets of aftermarket ones. The aftermarket ones got traded for some mechanical work of the Fieros. My 87 and 88 GT each got a set of the NOS ones. The ones on the 87 are starting to crack after 15 years, so may get my last NOS panels.

When I heard that GM was just about out of GT sail panels, I went out and ordered a NOS set for mine. Same thing with the taillight lenses, once I heard they were discontinued, and very few left in warehouses, I ordered a set. I figured that it would be cheap insurance, should anything ever happen to my car. Turns out that, if I wanted to sell them, that I'd make a VERY nice return on my money. But, they're not for sale...

Unless you are a purist just get decent reproductions from the Fierostore for $229.

If you are a purist and want OEM then you have to pay a fortune to the folks hanging onto the NOS ones.

You can be frugal OR picky but can't be both.

Are we talking about notchback sail panels or GT quarter windows? If its sail panels Paul McKibben makes excellent replacements. They are so good that they look original. If you are talking quarter windows, Chris Cooks look good but not identical to the originals. Still way better than nothing.

Or.....if it is a notchie then another option is the 84 glass version. Just watch out for the ones that look "cloudy".
