Hello together,
I would like to share with you my short story.
My 1988 5 Speed was bought original in 1991 as a new car here in Germany by the first owner. Till 2002 he was in charge of the owner ship and drove a couple of miles up and down south to north and back on the German Autobahn. But as the owner got issues with it and the engine made a knocking noise and he got older and older, the owner wanted sale it. I meet him in about 1999 on a US car meeting in Stuttgart and we became friends, so as he came up with the idea to sale the car he contacted me first and it came to a sale in 2002. But the car sad in storage with a broken engine till winter 2010/2011. Then I took the time (after other projects and life situations) and fixed the issue (which is documented here in PFF) . But I lost contact with the owner till a day in September 2015 when he first saw his car since 13 years back on the road in pristine condition catching peoples eyes at a sunny day.
Well this was a great moment of my life to see the happiness in someones eyes and a great reason why me/we do what we do in our spares time and holidays.
