Thought I'd throw a quick post up here.
On my 2nd Fiero, I did the pantyhose trick to tint the tail lights. I liked it, but my lights on my current Fiero were too nice to want to pull apart with that black goopy layer. So I thought I'd try Plastidip Smoke.
See pics below, but basic gist was that after quite a few layers of smoke, I laid a very thin layer of black down. Probably not even fully covering with a light coat. This tinted them enough for me, without making the tail lights and brake lights too dark during day or night.
I should note, I sprayed on the outside... just cleaned them first then applied. That way if I don't like it (or get a ticket) I can just peel it off.
