I made it back from my West Virginia trip last week and my Fiero is running great! I almost had Fiero 2 in WV but it didn't work out. But...I happened to find one close to me and am going to see it tomorrow! It's an 86 Notchie, auto, V6. The owner says body has 138,000 miles on it but motor only 30,000. If all goes well I'll be a two Fiero guy!
Well, saw the car today (86 Notchie), No rust issues in trunk corners, the paint is gold but is so faded in spots that it looks silver, its been lowered 2 inches, its really dirty for a garaged car, coolant tubes look fine, they have surface rust but are not crimped or damaged, the quarter windows are cracked badly on both sides, still haven't heard it run, guess I'll need to buy a battery or find one to take up and start it cause the one in it is dead, there is a few other things here and there to address but the glaring issue is the exhaust (which I was not informed about initially) has separated at the inlet pipe and muffler, so that would need to be addressed immediately. And also he said something about it not being inspected for a long time, its tagged in PA, so I have Delaware inspection to look forward to if I buy it. He's wanting around $750 for it. The body has 138000 miles but he says motor only has 30000. It's an auto, which I feel isn't worth as much as a 5 speed. I have a 5 speed currently and am looking to add an auto for Mom to drive around. This one is close to home. I'm thinking around $500 would be a better deal. Opinions?
