A friend of mine was involved in racing back in the 80s in California. He was going through old boxes of pictures and found a pic he had taken while walking through the garages at Sears Point in 1986. Knowing what a fiero enthusiast I am, he let me have a scan of it:

There's a lot of neat details in that one pic Thought it was worth sharing.

Im sure they put those roof sections on with just the screws. There wouldn't be any concern to make it weatherproof. I like how they can just change the body panels for a different paint scheme.

Sears Point was (and is) home base for Joe Huffaker. It makes sense that he had these roof panels hanging. In general, here is who drove them:



Note that the roof is from Bob Earl's 1985 car. Very period correct. No doubt that it is a good, accurate picture worth studying.

The roof panels are held on with Dzus fittings just like the majority of the body.
