Who's invited: All Fieros, rebodies, kits & Fiero friends/support cars who are within driving distance! (Ontario, Quebec, NY, Michigan, Ohio, Penn State, Vermont, NH etc. no restrictions!) What: Fiero Picnic, Show-Off (non judged) & Shine, followed by a local Fiero Cruise, optional dinner or depart for home. Where: Brown's Bay Park, 1259 - 1000 Islands Parkway, Mallorytown, Ontario, Exits 675 from the west and 685 from the east on Highway 401, http://www.stlawrenceparks.com/beach-an ... cnic-area/ I have been told that we now have the middle/center area designated for us (thanks Park ranger Wayne! (& Jo-anne & Garry)) and can park on the grassy area too. Just ask at the gate too but it'll be easy enough to find our area! Also, there is a cost of $16.75 Cdn per vehicle at the park charged by the park; it works out to $8 & change for our cars unless you stuff the trunk area & utilize any luggage racks if you got 'em  When: SATURDAY JULY 4TH, 2015 Time: from park opening time 9am, bring your own picnic lunch starts at 12 noon. Cruise starts at 6pm towards & ends in Kingston approx. 7pm. Dinner after or depart for home for some. Stay overnight for others & depart on Sunday for home or regional touring.
Other events & itinerary may change/be added as things come together. I will update this first post often so keep visiting & stay tuned!
This is a rain or shine event folks! No alcohol allowed. (There is a park ranger that visits & it is illegal to drink in public, boo.) There will be some neat door prizes & a raffle with some cool prizes. Any proceeds will be donated to Milton District Hospital Foundation through Legendary Motorcar during our visit there in August 8-) Safe & somewhat responsible behaviour is needed for this one, along with no loud music & good driving etiquette. We want to leave a somewhat good reputation after we go & my deposit back
To bring: a Fiero okay, okay, Fiero friends & re-bodies are welcome picnic gear, shelters, chairs, umbrellas, sunscreen, GPS, FRS radios if u got 'em for comms (whatever fits!), CAA, emergency parts & tool box (hey we're Fieros  ), CAA, some $, car shining stuff etc
Since the park also includes a beach area, ladies bring your bikinis & guys some wicked squirt guns. Not vice versa. Oh & please no speedos, guys!!! (sorry Quebecers!) Expect to get wet!
Anyone on the Ottawa, Montreal, NY, Michigan, PA, OH, IL, Vermont, NH etc forums can pls share this link, many thanks!!! I've posted this event on a bunch of Facebook groups as well. Hopefully word will get around & we'll get a very nice turnout. ------------------ RATE ME IF YOU LIKE MY CRUISES!!! 1985 RED & SILVER CUSTOM GT 2.8 V6...IT LOOKS NICE!

is anyone from the Kingston/gananoque (sp) area that can recommend a local park we can gather in for our picnic? (preferably a free one that can hold 20-30 cars)
meet up time at venue will be around noonish on Saturday...to allow folks travelling from Ottawa, PQ, USA, GTA etc to get there
please pick up a lunch or pack a picnic lunch to sustain yourselves. This is a non-alcoholic event
Rock Auto & a couple of other sponsors have said they would be sending some goodies... 8-)
PLEASE chime in here or on the GT Fieros site if u r planning to attend. I'll need to see how many people/cars will be attending. Also, if anyone is on the Montreal or your club's forums within driving distance, please spread the word. Word up. Peace.
There is a small (& reasonable) admission fee, about $5 per person plus HST.
I do ask for any one or two of our Fiero fans that live in the vicinity & attending to get to the park as early as possible in the morning to 'allocate' a corner of the parking lot so we can at least try & all park together. (I'm still waiting for the park to tell me which parking lot & area we can be in, but they're being a wee bit slooooow.)
Let me know if you can as that will help. A lot of us, including moi, will be caravanning from the west GTA area and probably won't get there til a little later than opening time.
after spending a considerable amount of time calling around to see if any reasonable hotels/motels would provide some group rates for us & a block of rooms (for either fri or sat nights, or both,) I unfortunately must leave accommodation bookings to whoever individuals want to stay overnight in the vicinity.
That weekend is during high season on a holiday weekend, in a highly picturesque area, so effectively, they don't need too. Boo. So a heads up: Book now if you are considering to stay overnight! The better half wants to stay & tour the Gananoque/Kingston area on the Sunday, so it looks like we'll be staying overnight Saturday.
Let me know if you do decide to stay as well and perhaps we can partake in some 'extra-curricular' activities, ahem. Will let you know where we'll be staying if anyone wants to stay there too...
After the cruise portion of the day for those who decide to stick around, an optional but yummy late dinner (8pm reservations under name FIERO) on Saturday night will be at:
Lone Star Texas Grill 251 Ontario St Kingston, ON K7L 2Z4
613-548-8888
This is in the very picturesque & happenin' part of downtown waterfront Kingston, right near Confederation Park & Kingston City Hall...a great area to stroll in for digestion (or ice cream), people watch (or Kingston Brewing Company visits).
Join us if you can!

ok, we just rebooked to the Colonial Resort & Spa in Gananoque on hotel.com; they have a sale on for $94 per night, (and includes breakfast!)....hurry!
& we now have the center section parking lot & grass area at the park (thank you to for that goes to Joanne Garry Steacy from Mallorytown!)
Also, the cruise at the end of the day is approx., an hour long from Brown's Bay Park to Kingston. It is along the very scenic 1000 Islands Parkway. We can do it as a group after we depart the park or on your own. I think it'd be much more fun as a group and for some cool photo ops. 8-)
...to clarify some folks inquiries; there is a per vehicle entrance fee to the park on the weekends at Brown's Bay, not per person. (Their website is misleading & needs correcting!) Give em heck too at the gate as their website says 'maximum' vehicle charge. The fee is approx. $16 cdn per vehicle no matter how many people in or on it. (Still ok for us I think, about $8 pp for 2-seaters  )
However, on the more positive side, we are able to go in & out with our day permits, 8-) so that allows people to come as go if anyone needs to get gas, food, medical attention  , check into accommodations, etc.
Helpful addresses for this event; google map or for gps:
Port hope meet up spot: on route eastbound; 845 Hwy 401 Eastbound, Port Hope, ON L1A 3W3 brown's bay park; 1000 Islands Pkwy, Mallorytown, ON K0E 1R0, 1213-1241 1000 Islands Pkwy, Mallorytown, ON K0E 1R0, coords n44.487720, w-75.823678 possibly free parking in downtown Kingston: 259 King St E, Kingston, ON K7L 3A8 dinner spot: Lone Star Texas Grill, 251 Ontario St, Kingston, ON K7L 2Z4 Also, depending on which direction you're coming from, closest gas stations to the park are either in Brockville or Gananoque or south of the US border, esp. if you want to avoid the 'on route' gouging.
thanks for coming out all & your support! we had just under 20 cars, from Montreal area, London & in between! 8-) great setting & the weather was good! again, thanks to our local members who helped make this an easier event & to all our sponsors! esp. PBJ!
A pleasure to meet the new people & hook up again with familiar faces! 8-) We raised approx. $100 for Milton District Hospital Association through the raffle tickets! 8-)
Only 1 tech session at the end that ended successfully
Post the pix folks!
