So I had my 3.8 sc Series 2 (Vin 1 out of a 2000 Grand Prix GTP) shortblocked with new bearings, rings and crank. Now I have to put everything back on it. I found a Victor Reinz full gasket set with nitroseal(bead of graphite around the head gaskets) for $280. What is the best option in Felpro and has anyone had experience with the Victor set?

I would stay away from the aftermarket head gaskets. The dealer set is pretty cheap and ideal. ZZP also has aftermarket gaskets alcarte that are pretty cheap.

wow really? so stay away from the performance head gaskets? Ive read some people mention having failures and going with the expensive felpro. I dont mind the reduced cost of the standard set, just trying to find out if its comparable. Is that what you have in yours?

Ive used and seen alot of headgaskets...I am currently using the full steel gaskets but i have murdered a set of felpros myself, and seen a few die on buddies cars. The GM gaskets are new to my crew, but they appear much higher quality.
