Well, it does say "1983? " indicating that the poster has no idea what year it is, adding to the I'm just posting this for my neighbor text of the ad. But yay, another sarcastic thread about a craigslist/ebay post. Heck, if it wasn't all the way up in Baltimore, and was a manual, I'd probably buy it. $1200 isn't a bad price for an 85 GT in pretty good condition. A few hours with a DA will fix the paint if you don't like it.

Guys....they sold these type of striping kits in every auto-parts store across the US in the early 90s.
Was the same company that produced these...they also did the dual wipper blades, side door modelings and custom center caps:
