You are invited to attend the Midwest Council of Sports Car Clubs Track Day and high speed autocross this Saturday. Blackhawk Farms is a 1.95 mile seven turn road course near Rockton and South Beloit IL. You can participate in two ways. 1) Just come and watch. Cost is $10 per person. Concessions on site or bring a picnic lunch. Plenty of shade to watch the action and tour the pits from the infield. Time permitting you may also drive " touring" on the track during the lunch break. This is limited to 55 mph with no passing and is included for your $10 admission. A great way to get the feel of the track 2) Compete in the high speed autocross. Cost is $120 which gives morning practice runs and five runs for time. If you want to do this be there early for the mandatory 8am driver's meeting.A Snell approved helmet is required. Some loaner helmets may be available. Novices can have on track in car instruction by experienced instructors at no additional charge. Depending on how many Fieros show up we may be able to have a class by ourselves. Although not required, it would be helpful if you could let us know ahead of time so we can arrange for Fiero only parking. Free beer and pizza for participants after the autocross.
