So I have a set of quarter panel with custom scoops for my 86 SE. I'm not sure what they came off of. So I am trying to find out what the difference is between GT and SE quarter panels if any. I think the ground effect mount holes might be different but what else? IF they are from a GT what modification would be needed to fit them on my SE?

TY for your time and have a happy and safe 4th of July!!

The '86 SE is essentially a rebadged '85 GT, so they should be 100% identical.

Gotcha but I mean between fast back and notch back. Are the quarters the same?

TY Mr. F!

Oops! When I first read the post I thought you were talking about the quarter windows (realized quickly that you meant the lower body panel) and my brain was stuck on notchbacks. That said, the lower quarter panels are the same between fastbacks and notchbacks. The only differences will be in aero and non-aero bodies.....both are physically the same, but the aero ones have the holes drilled for the ground effects to bolt onto.

All GT's, Indy's and the 86 and 87 SE lower quarter panels are the same, having provisions to mount the ground effects. 84 and 85 SE lower quarter panels are the same as all base coupes and Formulas which won't have the aero package.

Awesome! That is all I needed to know. Just wanted to confirm before I started to install a set of quarter panels with scoops I picked up. I just didn't want to get half way through only to realize I might need to modify something.

TY and have a GREAT and safe 4th of July weekend!
